melparrishjr 5 Report post Posted October 28, 2016 (edited) While I was the only player on this morning around 6;13 am AZ time, I encountered a number of issues on the server. The issues include ; loot lag, falling through the world, commands not working, /zgates & /home teleports not working, EAC kicks, server not responding or too slow to respond, and I observed that the server clock appeared to be frozen at Day 672.13:37. Steps taken: Exited out of the game and restarted Steam. Ensured that game's settings are at the lowest values. Validated all 7DTD local game files. Exited Steam again and flushed my dns cache using "ipconfig /flushdns". Configured Malwarebytes exclusions lists to exclude the folder C;\Program files (x86) \Steam\Steam Apps\Common\7 Days To Die. Rebooted the computer. Restarted steam and attempted to join the server noting that the server time hadn't changed from the last time I had seen it. It took an unusually long time for the sever to respond and just as long for the game to start, but the issues were not resolved. Verified that I could connect to and play on another sever in a more timely manner without the aforementioned issues. DJ 186 Report post Posted October 28, 2016 After observing the performance tab in the task manager on the server, when players use TNT or when they are mining a huge underground area and it collapses, the server ends up using all 8gb of ram and it processes all that extra data very slowly since there isn't any more ram left to use. This most likely was the cause of what happened for when you were trying to connect. Here is a screenshot I took of when something similar had occurred and I was forced to restart the server. melparrishjr 5 Report post Posted October 30, 2016 Well, that does seem about right when those kinds of events are happening... but as I reported I was the only player on the server at that time last Friday morning. It could've been the mines going off at the military POI I was investigating. Despite their being banned from the server, they are part of the random gen that comes with the POI's and I guess it's part of the dev's idea of a practical joke on us --the players. But then it might not hurt to roll back that region of the map as I fell through the map on numerous occasions as I made my way their for the first time. Would be nice if you could somehow alter the scripts to not allow land mines to be generated when the POI's are generated. Otherwise the game itself is breaking server rules and you cannot even hope to enforce those rule when all we need to do is blame it on random gen. Banning any visits to those POI's wouldn't be right either, since they are an essential part of the game and one of the best place to obtain arms and ammunition which is otherwise pretty tough to find.
