melparrishjr 5 Report post Posted October 13, 2016 (edited) On horde night I can often hear that frightfully ominous if not altogether annoying ringing tone as zombie bears attempt to break through my walls. As scary as that is I can only think how much more scary it would be if I missed a spot and they didn't... How close together do my lcb's need to be, to not have any holes in my defenses? The sever settings as listed are not very informative and it would be nice to know how strong our block protection is against zombies and how far that protection extends on all sides of the lcb. These are the questions that first arise when I think about building a base and how to defend it. Edited October 14, 2016 by melparrishjr
DJ 186 Report post Posted October 14, 2016 The settings are 31 blocks by 31 blocks, in a square radius and will protect you all the way up into the sky and all the way down to bedrock. This will make your base invincible and this will protect against bears but not against zombies. To protect your base against zombies you will need to upgrade your walls to iron or steel for better defenses. Adding spikes to a kill pit or trench also helps out a lot with defenses too.
