Rented vs. Dedicated Hosting

Shared Hosting vs. Dedicated Hosting

4 members have voted

  1. 1. Would you rather play on a rented server that is slow but available 24/7 or a dedicated server that occasionally disconnects from the internet a few times a day?

    • Dedicated, Im ok with having the server run faster than shared hosting and im ok with having occasional disconnects.

    • Rented Hosting, It may be slow and cause lag but I prefer to have it be available 24/7.

I vote dedicated. Shared is okay, but the lag gets so bad sometimes that it's of little use to be on 24/7, unless I want to downgrade my video settings to the lowest levels; which doesn't help in some cases.

Dedicated all the way.  The occasional disconnect does not bother me and I'd rather avoid the lag if possible.

My view is what you say on dedicated? Is it your own PC your gonna dedicate it to and if so SPECS? jk - giving you ****.   Dedicated is the only way to go but can be a lil expensive-- I say invest in donators and adding some better perks for donors like not only reserve but you get x amount of whatever every x amount of days.

If you can afford dedicated now- then go for it. :) will cut down on all lag for sure-

dedicated all the way. Lag is the major thing that affects this game, and if dedicated ensures stability in that department, I vote that.

I liked how we had it in 14.7, the lag was almost unnoticeable.  whatever that set up was, pirahna and I set almost 1000 tnt off at zooters at the same time with about 15-20 seconds of lag.... we could have 40-60 zombies in a fight and it flowed smooth.  If we could go back to that, even if we had occasional disconnects, that would be worth it.
