KapitanGopnik 58 Report post Posted September 16, 2016 Okay, so to give my first impressions of A15 experimental: - It looks great. Graphics are definitely a plus. I'm loving the distant terrain, and the some of the environment sounds have been souped up a bit. Played Navezgane for about fifteen minutes before dying (I know, lame sauce, right?), and I was entranced by just how good everything is looking. - Gotta use the right tools, now. Can't punch rocks to get small stones anymore. Gotta at least have a stone axe. Clubs don't work for harvesting, either. - Bad news: My game kept crashing every time I tried to start a random gen game. I could play Navezgane just fine, but I'm thinking that between now and the official A15 release, they're going to be working on random gen. - I LOVE that the zombies don't skid all over the ground when they fall down now. On top of that, but you can actually dodge their attacks if you're fast enough, as opposed to the old dice toss of them hitting you, even if you run behind them. Do NOT get into a straight-up melee with them unless you have a good weapon to stun/knock them down. They'll smack the crap out of you repeatedly. That's what I have so far. I'll probably mess around with it more, but we may have no choice but to wait on A15 for the server, unless we want to run Navezgane.
CrypticGirl 8 Report post Posted September 16, 2016 I'd like to check it out, but is it possible to opt back out of A15 after opting in?

I agree to run Navezgane until the stable A15 come out...If we need to wipe
Landycs_Lam 8 Report post Posted September 16, 2016 and the wasteland biome become hell when you first spawn in it... In A15, the wasteland biome will spawn special zombies all the time!!! I had twice recreate the game to try to run out until the dogs kill me...
Thomas_Crowne 3 Report post Posted September 16, 2016 I just played Navezgane for an hour or so, it loads up pretty well for my low graphic settings. The zombies are a little smarter, the one thing I learned was that you have to wait till 6am to explore not 4am anymore -- they still run at this time. Additionally I don't know if it's just me -- but in some areas I get a weird fog that makes my view very dull.
KapitanGopnik 58 Report post Posted September 16, 2016 Were any of you able to start a random gen game? Mine simply crashed, no matter what seed I tried. Use the same menu as opting in (right click 7DTD in Steam library, go to the Betas section, select which one you want.)

This is directly from the fun pimps post for alpha 15 (experimental). https://7daystodie.com/forums/showthread.php?50192-Alpha-15-Experimental-is-out! Here's how to opt in and play the latest experimental branch. Open your steam client. Click on Games/View Games Library Right click ‘7 Days to Die’ and select properties From the new popup dialogue box select the ‘BETAS’ Tab Under ‘Select the beta you would like to opt into’ latest_experimental The game will then update and download the latest experimental build Alpha 15 Experimental Switching back to the latest main stable build is as easy as repeating steps 1-4 and on step 4 choose the option ‘None – Opt out of all Beta Programs’ and you’ll revert to the latest stable build

Thomas_Crowne 3 Report post Posted September 16, 2016 I played a random gen game on someone else's server.. but it lacked in POI's and it was mostly rolling hills of land. I haven't tried playing it locally yet.

CrypticGirl 8 Report post Posted September 19, 2016 I posted a youtube video with some various clips showing some of the highlights for A15. Graphics, new zombies, vending machines, inventory sorting, weather, traders, maybe a few other things. Enjoy!
