tks 1 Report post Posted June 21, 2016 Hi, is it possible to have automated server reboots on a daily basis or even a zombie wipe before day7 horde spawns? About real life day, the zombies become stagnant and do not despawn and linger at places where there was someone there (but logged off). I've told CaptRichards about this and he is aware of it & said he would talk to Piranha about it. I have also asked Piranha permission to do it myself, although he said "he'd get back to me" on that. Also, when I put 'killall' in the console cmds, it wiped out all the zombies - although when CaptRichards did it, he said it didn't work. So if you could let him know how to wipe the zombies out - that'd be great, because there are players in pve2 who are hunting for zombies >.>. Thanks. Otherwise I won't be able to until after I get off work in about 4 hours or so. Also pve 2 doesn't have automated server restarts with that provider and as such we transferred over to a new company that has better and more professional services for our servers. We will remain to continue doing manual server restarts as we are able to. We have also decided to enable the kill all command to you for the time being until we shutdown that server and make it be no longer available. This was undecided since it can be abused and you could use it to cheat but we decided to enable it for you anyways. We will keep pve 2 running until the next forced server wipe due to bugs etc. i will grant you that command when I get off work since iam not near a computer at the moment. Best regards. DJ 186 Report post Posted June 27, 2016 We did enable it for you for awhile and then we decided against it since it may disrupt other players game play. Nobody wants to play a zombie game where the zombies randomly die at your feet without even attacking them. Also the zombie spawning systems varies per biome and when lots of players are in one location, then zombies wont spawn as frequent (sometimes). Also previously spawned zombies wont be killed with the killall command unless a player is near those zombies, otherwise nothing will happen since those zombies weren't loaded. This may or may not be a bug with how the game was designed but we feel like this isn't a necessary thing to do, however we will leave it up to the choice of our admins to use this command if they feel like it would be necessary. Furthermore we could simply raise the max allowed zombie limit, to increase the chances of spawning more Zombies but this has created lots of lag during 7 day hordes etc. so it will remain at its current max limit until further notice. I haven't used it, because whenever I logged into the forum account - there was 0 notifications, therefore I'd log out. Then CaptRichards told me that I had permission to use it (the day I posted the photo), and it didn't work. Just letting you know what happened on my end - no need to respond.
