OSX with Intel GPU and most likely some Linux systems with Intel GPU: black terrain OSX: Might be seeing some kind of “checkerboard” graphics. Try latest_experimental_u52 (stable_u52 when non-experimental released) build from Steam. Linux with AMD GPU and proprietary driver: Might still crash on launch. If so for some people running the game with “-force-gfx-direct” fixes this (add the parameter to the launch options in Steam). Alternatively if performance is good enough the open source driver should fix this too. Linux: Crashes due to not being able to use PulseAudio. Might be fixed with this build. Windows with NVIDIA GPU: driver versions 34x.xx are causing crashes when entering games. If there are no newer drivers for your card try using latest_experimental_u52 (stable_u52 when non-experimental released) build from Steam. If any of the above issues does no longer apply for you (e.g. able to run on Linux with AMD GPU, proprietary driver and no launch-argument) please report in this thread: https://7daystodie.com/forums/showthread.php?42101-Graphics-Crash-issues-with-A14-7 Credited to: Fun Pimps LLC, http://7daystodie.com/alpha-14-7-stable-is-out/.

Today when I was monitoring the chat to help out players and admin the server, a player with the username of "greenface", had recently said in the chat "everyone should name the towns they settle in for fun". I thought that would be an excellent idea to allow players to name towns or locations and have the names appear on the map as well as in the chat. We have previously done this by naming the central city so it will be similar to that. We would officially mark the name of the town or location on the map with their chosen name. Then when a player entered that town or location, a welcome message would appear in the chat via a pm. To keep things fair for all players, we have came up with a set of rules for naming and renaming towns and locations. Rules for submitting names for towns and locations are as follows: You must remain as an active player, with active land claim blocks and login at least once every 8 days. Inappropriate and offensive names are not allowed. Only one word names are allowed. Naming locations are on a first come, first serve bases. Renaming another players previously named location or town is not allowed as long as that player is still active and following these rules. This is only available for our sever called "Red Hat Gamers - PVE". To submit a name for a location or town, reply to this post with your coordinates of the location as well as the name that you would like to submit. Rules last updated 5/29/2016.

We have decided to keep our PVE server as vanilla with most of the default settings to keep it as an unmodified server and to keep the server as it was meant to be played by the Fun Pimps. These settings and some others can still be changed without modifying the server: max animals, max zombies, server difficulty, etc. However with our second server PVE 2, we are wanting to modify it and change the settings such as: daylight length, spawn rate, etc. since these settings will make the server become modified. With it being a modified server, we can create custom in game content by modifying the xml files, maximize the difficulty, and we will be able to change most aspects of the game. We are also planning on changing our PVE 2 server into a PVP server so that way we can have both types of servers available. We will make this change to a PVP server during the next major release or unless it absolutely needs a world wipe due to bugs, etc.
