  1. Should we allow PVP (Player vs. Player) on our 7 Days To Die Dedicated PVE (Player vs. Environment) Server within the central city of Necropolis?
  2. Our 7 days to die dedicated server called "Red Hat Gamers - PVE", is going to be offline momentarily for maintenance. This will involve reinstalling a new operating system to allow for more usable ram. This shouldn't take long and I will post when I have finished. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused. Best regards.
  3. The internet occasionally disconnects with the dedicated server, most likely due to the servers physical location. I could go into more details about it but it could go on and on. Having that said, I am considering moving the 7 Days To Die Server to a shared host with the same exact world as it is currently and using the server to start up additional game servers instead. By doing this it could help get new and different game servers up and going with very little upfront cost after internet and utilities. The shared host will run just as good as the dedicated server for 7 Days To Die, with the added benefit of reliability for the most part. Admins will also be able to restart the server on their own, if they ever need to do so. This game is early access so problems with the game will still occur regardless of what it is hosted on. I will be able to add several, low populated game servers on the dedicated server to be able to grow the community faster with little cost. If you support this idea, take our poll and suggest a new game server that you would like us to add to our server list and by doing so we may add it. Best Regards.
  4. I am currently rendering the map on the new server to help speed up the loading times for the server. This shouldn't take very long to complete and as usual I will post when it has finished. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused. Best Regards.
  5. We have recently upgraded our server to a dedicated hosting solution and it has been a success. We have managed to lower load times and now have a much smoother game play. Now we would like to increase server performance even farther to reduce additional lag by upgrading to SSD Hard Drives. Depending on how much money we can bring in on this fundraiser will depend on what we upgrade to, but we would like to upgrade to an SDD with lots of memory so that we have room to grow. An SSD Hard Drive can run up to 15 times faster than a standard hard drive and Increase user productivity and cut time spent on everyday tasks at impressive speeds. Here is an example SSD that we have in mind for this upgrade: Kingston SSDNow KC400 SKC400S3B7A/1T 2.5" 1TB SATA III Business Solid State Disk. Help us reach our goal of $160 by donating today. Any amount left over will go towards next months expenses. Click here to make a small donation and help out our community. Donations are always appreciated but never required. Donators also receive perks for their donations.
  6. Would you rather play on a rented server that is slow but available 24/7 or a dedicated server that occasionally disconnects from the internet a few times a day?
  7. We are currently looking for additional funding to transfer our game servers over to a more professional and more improved game server. This will cost more per month but it will be totally worth it since the server wont have anything else on it but just one game server. This will also result in a more smoother and more stable game-play as well as better stability since it wont have any usage limits enforced on the server since we will have 100% control over it. Also we can always upgrade the server if we ever needed to without reaching its max limits unlike with our current shared hosting providers. This will raise our monthly expense goals from $50 for just one 7 days to die server with limited resources (40 players max with lots of random reboots and crashes) to about $130 a month, for an unlimited, dedicated, and stable game server with lots of room to upgrade if needed. If you support this idea and want to make this into a reality, we will gladly make the upgrade sometime this month or possibly sometime closer to when alpha 15 comes out for 7 days to die. Dedicated Game Server Specs: 2 GB Ram 512 GB Storage Unlimited Bandwidth Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1220 v3 @ 3.10GHz This will result in shutting down two of our 7 days to die game servers since they wouldn't be needed anymore (PVE, PVE 2). Futhermore, we most likely will keep the PVP game server with 7 days to die available for now until we decide to upgrade that at a later date.
