We are currently having a zombie kill event on our pve server and we are spawning in lots of zombies at the old spawn location. Join in on the action by using the command "/events", since these events don't last long.

Today when I was monitoring the chat to help out players and admin the server, a player with the username of "greenface", had recently said in the chat "everyone should name the towns they settle in for fun". I thought that would be an excellent idea to allow players to name towns or locations and have the names appear on the map as well as in the chat. We have previously done this by naming the central city so it will be similar to that. We would officially mark the name of the town or location on the map with their chosen name. Then when a player entered that town or location, a welcome message would appear in the chat via a pm. To keep things fair for all players, we have came up with a set of rules for naming and renaming towns and locations. Rules for submitting names for towns and locations are as follows: You must remain as an active player, with active land claim blocks and login at least once every 8 days. Inappropriate and offensive names are not allowed. Only one word names are allowed. Naming locations are on a first come, first serve bases. Renaming another players previously named location or town is not allowed as long as that player is still active and following these rules. This is only available for our sever called "Red Hat Gamers - PVE". To submit a name for a location or town, reply to this post with your coordinates of the location as well as the name that you would like to submit. Rules last updated 5/29/2016.

We recently renewed and relaunched our old server with our other provider to be able to have a more stable and more reliable server again, like we have had since when it was first launched back in January. We will keep both servers up and running and they both will have most of the same settings and game play. Now you can play on both servers if you would like to and we will do our best to prevent PVE 1 from disconnecting players but there is no guarantee. The next release of the game may have fixed the random disconnects for servers but until then there is very little that we can do about it. This relaunched server is called "Red Hat Gamers - PVE 2", and it is a more stable server.

Due to the problems with our server randomly disconnecting and restarting on its own, we decided to turn it offline for now until further notice. We are in the process of finding a solution to fixing this with our hosting provider and we are considering going back to our old provider and start doing manual restarts again.

Since there was a recent crash due to bugs on our PVE 1 server, we have decided to do the change over and drop our main pve server. Our pve 1 server provider currently doesn't have automated restarts and as such we are going to make our pve 2 server be our main one. This new provider has better hosting and will allow us to have automated restarts for our server as well as a watchdog system that will turn the server back on if the server ever had an uncommon event happen such as crashes, etc. Therefore we will have to drop our pve 1 server, turn our pve 2 server into our main one, and then have a world wipe for our new pve server to fix the random disconnects with that provider by placing our server on a new machine. We believe this is the best route going forward with our servers. We also wont be doing anymore world wipes on our servers until further notice. We are currently in the process of dropping our old server (PVE 1) and making our pve 2 server into our main PVE server. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

We have decided to keep our PVE server as vanilla with most of the default settings to keep it as an unmodified server and to keep the server as it was meant to be played by the Fun Pimps. These settings and some others can still be changed without modifying the server: max animals, max zombies, server difficulty, etc. However with our second server PVE 2, we are wanting to modify it and change the settings such as: daylight length, spawn rate, etc. since these settings will make the server become modified. With it being a modified server, we can create custom in game content by modifying the xml files, maximize the difficulty, and we will be able to change most aspects of the game. We are also planning on changing our PVE 2 server into a PVP server so that way we can have both types of servers available. We will make this change to a PVP server during the next major release or unless it absolutely needs a world wipe due to bugs, etc.

There has been a lot of players being banned for minibikes recently so we have decided to un-ban everyone that has received a ban for it. We decided to do this since we were still tweaking our auto-ban settings to prevent players from creating minibikes since minibikes are very bugged. We also believe that our auto-ban settings are more tuned in now and as such, future bans will tougher to be appealed until the minibike gets fixed by the fun pimps. Please remember that minibikes are no longer allowed and will result in an auto-ban. If you ever have any minibike parts, a message will show up in the chat in a red color telling you to drop it or be banned. Minibikes are not allowed to be crafted until further notice.

Recently a minibike had glitched out and created lots of lag and lowered server performance. The minibike had went into some spikes and had bugged out more than usual and ended up creating lots of errors in the console and created choppy gameplay. Since minibikes are still in development by the fun pimps, they are currently not allowed to be built on our 7 days to die server and will result in an auto-ban. Minibikes are not allowed to be crafted on our server until further notice.

We have decided to make a new rule that prevents players from claiming stores such as Shamway foods, etc. Stores spawn valuable items and as such they are not allowed to be land claimed. This new rule is effective immediately and we ask that players report claimed stores so that we can remove the land claim block as well as be awarded with 2k Zcoins for helping us in preventing this from happening. All other prefab buildings such as houses, is still allowed to be claimed.

Since our Red Hat Gamers - PVE server is having problems and creating lots of lag and is almost unplayable, we are thinking about wiping the world and starting new with a fresh new world. This game is still early access and as such we can't fix every bug / glitch that may occur as well as optimize and make it run smoother so we feel like this would the best solution to help to optimize our server. Please let us know if you want or don't want a world wipe within the next day or two by replying to this post. If we do end up wiping the world and starting with a fresh new world, we would like to apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused. Note - This is for our pve 1 server that is at day 926.

We are currently having problems with our 7 days to die server, PVE 2. We recently submitted a support ticket to gameservers.com and this is what they told us: " There has been a recent form of increased network traffic on the machine your server is hosted on. This appears to have now subsided. If not, we may look into moving your server to another machine. " Hopefully this will get fixed tomorrow and it will stop crashing our server. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

We have raised the Max Spawned Animals setting from 50 to 80 on our Red Hat Gamers - PVE Server. This new setting will be applied during the next server restart. Note - This increase doesn't necessarily cause more animals to spawn since the biome spawning system only spawns a certain number of animals in a given area.

We have finished building our Player vs. Player (PVP) Arena and it is now ready to be played on. There are 4 buildings that could be used by 4 or more players that could use these as defenses and safe houses during pvp events. You are allowed to kill other players here as well as store items here Only. You are also allowed to place a sleeping bag down where you are able to so that when you die you can spawn near here. Building and creating additional walls and buildings are not allowed. You may visit the pvp arena at any time by using the command: "/zgate visit pvparena" and it is located in the central city near the co-ordinates of: 260, 464. We may also from time to time come back and improve and alter this pvp arena as we see fit.
