  1. In an effort to reduce player lag/ping and to improve performance even more on 7 Days To Die, we have decided to discontinue using an external server manager for player commands and we may or may not enable it again in the future. Regards.
  2. Today I had applied some much needed optimizations for our game servers, as well as improvements with our forum hosting. These recently applied low latency settings are hardware based and will help create smoother game play, as well as lowering your ping. We are always looking for ways to improve our servers for the better and will do our best to apply any new improvements that we may find. The next major improvement will be upgrading our internet to a bigger plan, which we are planning on doing someday. Any further suggestions that you may have for server improvements, please comment below.
  3. I recently made a few optimizations with the server to help improve load times and lower lag for our 7 days to die game server.
  4. I have made a few changes to our 7 days to die game servers and added a few things. 1. The server on port 26900 will be renamed to Main PvE during its next restart and new items have been added to /gimme. Auto ban rules have be re-enabled and will only kick out players. Tthese rules are as follows: 2. The PvP server on port 26910, has been renamed to Blood Moon and I setup Envul with /gimme commands, map, etc. Also added PVP type of items to /gimme, such as: military clothes, armor, mines, ammo, explosives, etc. 3. The pve server on port 26920, will be renamed to Horde Nights and will have similar gameplay and settings as our Main Pve server. 4. I have decided to shutdown the server on port 26930, due to lack of players. 5. Furthermore, Links have been added to view the server maps in our 7 days to die forums by clicking here. Let me know your thoughts or suggestions for our game servers by commenting below. Best Regards.
  5. I am looking for feedback on if we should start wiping our 7 days to die (PVE) servers on the 1st of every month, beginning on December 1st of 2017. This will help to keep the server free of bugs (for the most part), and give more of a schedule of when a wipe will occur. This will also make the server more enjoyable since there will be fewer bugs, as well as making it harder to have an endgame status. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
  6. We now have daily backups setup for our 7 days to die game servers.
  7. Our server on port 26900, had crashed this morning and resulted in a game bug where random parts of the world disappeared and was regenerated. We currently do not know how many areas have been effected by this but we do know that a few have been. Due to these unforeseen circumstances that was out of our control, anybody that had their base being affected by this can receive items from admins to help them rebuild. Sorry for any inconveniences that this may have caused.
  8. Our 7 days to die game servers are currently undergoing updates to alpha 16.4 and will be offline until it is completed. This shouldn’t take much longer and I will post when it has completed. Regards.
  9. 5 New 7 Days To Die game servers have been added! Check out our full server list Here: http://www.redhatgamers.com/servers.html/.
  10. The server has been offline for most of today, I had my ISP come look at my internet to try and troubleshoot some connectivity issues. Regards. The server is now online again, sorry for any inconveniences that this may have caused.
  11. Due to unforeseen circumstances the world as we knew is gone and got wiped. There wasn't a save file with alpha 16 (experimental) version during its initial setup and the restart today had resulted in a wipe. I apologize for this, however on the bright side we now have a save file (thankfully) to prevent problems like this, as well as admin permissions again. Again I apologize for this inconvenience and I hope everyone has a great day.
  12. Lets have a moment of silence in remembrance of the Bees from 7 Days To Die... Wait a minute... they are not gone just yet... Therefore, since The Fun Pimps are planning on replacing the Bee with a Vulture, and since Bees are still part of the game, admins are now allowed to spawn in hordes of these bees in the game if they want to by using console commands. This event is entirely optional for admins to contribute to and this may last for the remainder of this week but should end that following week. If it gets too out of hand or if people oppose of this event we can use our consoles to remove any and all bees if necessary. Bees use a very small amount of server resources so this shouldn't cause any problems with the server or effect game play. This will help keep the Bee alive in our memories by enjoying them while they are still part of the game. So why not go and kill yourself a Bee Horde today in 7 Days To Die... lol. Fast forward to 23:16 to learn more about this upcoming change in the game. Here are a few screenshots of this event... lol
  13. Should we allow PVP (Player vs. Player) on our 7 Days To Die Dedicated PVE (Player vs. Environment) Server within the central city of Necropolis?
  14. Our 7 days to die dedicated server called "Red Hat Gamers - PVE", is going to be offline momentarily for maintenance. This will involve reinstalling a new operating system to allow for more usable ram. This shouldn't take long and I will post when I have finished. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused. Best regards.
  15. Spawned a bunch of zombies for the 7th day horde. Good times
  16. Recently the server had crashed again due to a known memory leak with 7 Days To Die and a simple restart was needed to fix this. Furthermore, if anybody is curious to know more about this memory leak problem, then here are some chat logs from a discussion I had with a gameservers.com representative when our server kept crashing. I am also currently in the process of setting up something on our new dedicated server to help prevent this from happening again. Also you may be able to learn more about this at 7daystodie.com. Posted 05/07/16 5:36am - Jake Are you sure that no changes or additions have been made to the server prior to the start of the crashes? I am currently seeing a number of crashing instances as a result of a memory limit enforced on the server. The 7daystodie server software has a history of memory leaks that would cause the instance to utilize all of the available memory on the machine. We have enforced a memory limit for the 7daystodie subscriptions to avoid such incidents. With indication that this is occurring for your subscription there may be conflicts or events in the server that are causing an abnormally high memory load, or triggering a memory leak. Posted 05/24/16 1:18pm - Zachary Hello, The issue at this time is due to a memory leak in the Unity game engine, used to make 7 days to die. We have increased the memory limit on your subscription by 50%, however, we will not be able to increase this further. Crashes will still occur when this limit is reached, and there is no way around this unfortunately. The Unity engine development team will need to address the memory leak issue in order to permanently resolve this problem. Thanks,
  17. I am currently rendering the map on the new server to help speed up the loading times for the server. This shouldn't take very long to complete and as usual I will post when it has finished. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused. Best Regards.
  18. I am currently in the process of upgrading the server to a dedicated hosting solution. I will back up the world and upload it to the new server so you can continue where you left off. The current server will be offline during this process and will finish the moment I am able to backup and upload these files. I will post when I have finished this transition. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused.
  19. Would you rather play on a rented server that is slow but available 24/7 or a dedicated server that occasionally disconnects from the internet a few times a day?
  20. Trader Locations

so what's the deal with trader joes? every time i try to walk in one i'm instantly teleported outside of it. 10 times in a row. no idea why.
  21. 7 Days To Die has been released from its experimental version and is now in a more stable version. Therefore, the server has been updated to the latest stable build. Also since we don't have a budget to pay this months server rental bill, we are going to move the server to our servers until further notice. I will wait a few hours before the transfer if anybody would like to help support us and pay for this months bill, otherwise our in-house server will be ready to go at a moments notice. Thank you for choosing us for all your zombie killing needs.
  22. Server has been updated to the latest version of alpha 15 experimental.
  23. I teleported to 500k+ north out of curiosity and I found these gems, everything was tearing apart and it became very tough to move around.
  24. I have decided to upgrade the server to alpha 15 experimental version tomorrow. If things go as planned I will do this sometime in the afternoon, hopefully. This also may result in a few server wipes within a short amount of time between now and the official release of alpha 15. If there aren't any server wipes then hopefully we wont have to wipe the server again until alpha 16. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused. Best Regards.
