Ok so here's a random game for people with shitty internet (like me) or who are simply bored. The 3 word game is pretty simple, I start of with 3 words, the person in the next post follows up with 3 words and it goes on and on to create a little story! Few rules apply: -Keep it clean -Don't post twice in a row (obviously) So yeah if you feel like passing some time, feel free to join in! I'll kick it off: In a dense...

As far as I understood it's sadly not terribly hard to hack into the game to access different features, this is due to a flaw in the anti-cheat engine implemented in the game. Basically all you have to do is manipulate the packages sent to the server from your client before it reaches the server, by doing so you can make the server think you have way more rights/are one of the admins/server owners. I'll look more into this today, who knows there is some tweaking possible by us/the server owners to make it less likely for cheaters and hackers to acquire these rights. tl;dr. Downloading the hacks for 7dtd is pretty easy, just a replacement of the .dll file. Bypassing EAC is the hard part but far from impossible. Maybe it's possible to layer a personal anti-cheat engine over the EAC to make it more secure? I honestly don't know how much freedom you have as server owner in 7dtd or if it's even possible within the game. Seeing as it runs on Unity (if I'm not mistaken) it shouldn't be terribly difficult to manipulate it..

Increasing the border would be nice. What I'd personally like to see in the future would be some kind of way to prevent allied players to build/destroy within your claim, perhaps by introducing different kinds of LCB's? Alternatively, maybe a way to track people without directly becoming allied? I'm not sure if there's any solution and if it is even a problem for anyone else, just letting imagination run wild I guess haha

Heya!

Heya peoples, I'm PUBlick. I play on the 7DTD server and already could write books about the things we've experienced in the week since me and my buddy Pvt Per have been here. The RHG server has properly revived my love for the game. We've built a little community with great people and we're trying to revitalize the city we're in. If you ever stumble on a big city feel free to drop by and say hi!
-
Currently sadly can't play well because of my internet connection, as soon as all that is fixed I'm eager to jump back in! This time not in the main city though, probably gonna claim a little town somewhere or something . I'll let you know when I know more!

Welcome to the server goo!

Heya everyone, I have noticed that for a lot of new players the first death is inevitable. While I realize this is part of the game and I encourage to keep the game as hard as possible to preserve longevity, it is noticeable that for most players this means losing their first Land Claim Block and in turn, lose their ability to protect the shelter they built for themselves. The Land Claim Blocks are not hard to craft, that is absolutely clear, but for an absolutely new player with no former knowledge about the game, this can be a hassle. My proposal is as follows, put the Land Claim Block in the store for the same or double the price of the Forged Steel book so new players can when in need buy these to protect what they built. The second item I would like to talk about is the Pad Lock. Since starting on the server we have so far only found one, this means that even though we have a community and Pvt Per and myself share most every resource we find or craft, we have no ability to secure more then one Minibike and in turn, don't feel safe using more then one because we can not secure it. Of course the Pad Lock should be a high priced item in the shop because it's also a very hard to find item. Somewhere in the realm of 1k-5k zCoins would seem reasonable in my eyes. Sorry again for the long post :') ~PUBlick

Shop is working right now, indeed there was a total reset but with the new skill system in place it was to be expected. Sorry for the inconvenience guys.

Cheers for the quick response! From my past experience in 7DTD I know that it is possible to prefab individual buildings and locations. Although Pvt Per knows way more about this then I do, from what I have always heard this is only possible if one has access to the server files. Also, I am mainly asking this question because I'm sure I am not the only one who would like to know. If it is possible I'd gladly contribute my time to making this a reality before a server restart ~PUBlick

Is it possible to create prefabs of certain building projects that took a large amount of time? If not, is there a possibility to receive a prefab of ones creation for personal back-up? ~PUBlick

Whoop, nice work guys, really like the idea! ~PUBlick

In all honesty I believe adding these commands will take away a lot of the "survival" aspect. In our community in game we try to supply new players who join us with as little as possible to keep that experience alive and creates longevity in the game. Pvt Per and myself were actually talking about the fact that we are getting close to the point were we have everything we need or want and we basically reached "end-game", something which, if you are not an avid builder like myself, the game sorely lacks on. Tl;dr In my opinion if you add commands like this it will make the game easier/too easy and people will reach the point of "I don't know what to do anymore because I've got everything I'd want/need so I might aswel quit" too soon. PS: I guess the krutch is similar to the splint to heal a broken leg? This would maybe be the only one I'd add because in the current state of the game the breaking of ones leg is rather random and happens extremely quick which creates a major annoyance for many people. Solutions could be to indeed add this command, remove the leg breaking mechanic entirely until the devs fix it, or tweak the mechanic ourselves (if possible) to make for a more streamlined and reliable experience. Sorry for the wall of text :') ~PUBlick
