  1. Looks like I stumbled upon a good group for 7DTD with a job opening for maintenance. On my watch consider the position filled. At dusk while backpedaling from a bear that was chewing my face off I stumbled, correction fell into a "pothole" large enough to swallow that bear and myself. All was not lost, for only the cost of 104 pieces of paper that bear was put down and my backpack retrieved (only to be lost again but that's another story). On any given day/night you'll find me repairing around town, exploring before filling in the holes as to not cover up someone's mine or underground bunker. If you know of trouble spots or have a better use of my resources let me know. As for my backpack, after a late night scavenge of the inner city while returning home (still walk everywhere) I heard the barking and felt the teeth sinking deep if I didn't run. Up ahead them dead bastards caught my scent and closed the gap. Ditching my course and hitting a side street with the blood pounding and feet flying I lost the earth as everything turned red, impaled at the bottom of a deep trench. Good bye shotgun and shells, anvil and forge. I will wake again, this time to learn my surroundings.
  2. Thanks for the warm welcome

Thousands of wooden frames were placed and then removed as the lake was push back. The time spent was repetitive but worth the effort. With the job complete a small spelunking trip to the north east for resources was in order. I'm leaving you exactly like my day, mostly uneventful.
  3. What is this

In single player mode when I would use that type of house for a base the bars would last till about day 14, never found a way to repair them, always wanted to though.

After the fall of society one piece of human technology remains online GPS. This isn’t your grandma’s back talking, drop off at the wrong location GPS. This is the spoil above spoils, not only will this high powered global positioning system flawlessly direct the user to their destination. This marvel of the new age tracks everything with 100% accuracy. So you want to know where all the chickens are; need to keep tabs on your current or X-lover; want to know if you’re going to die in a few seconds? This souped-up Navstar will change your very soul and ask nothing in return. Disclaimer: don’t believe everything you read. So, you thought that was impressive, HA I laugh at that trash. Now get this, with a single thought and some previous knowledge of a destination you can teleport yourself and all you can carry anywhere. As long as you have a marked location or have permission to use someone’s marked location. For minimal coin you can break the laws of physics like the rest of the population. A seemingly underused piece of technology for Red Hat Gamers is ‘teamspeak’. Logging in for the first time I was privileged find someone. After a brief instruction we were able to communicate and my job description evolved once more. The gist of it was,”I have some dirt and a lot of free time”. This is where a whole new world of 7DTD opened up for me. Have you ever moved a lake? Well, starting with dirt then upgrading to better means we pushed back a lake the size of a small city which was only half of our goal. Working together as people came and went I learned more about 7DTD than I thought was possible and shared some lessons learned from my weeks of solo play. The moon rose and set countless times but in cooperation 7DTD shines brightest. Well, almost as bright as multiple spotlights reflecting off that sandy beach.

This story begins with a cactus, descends into a sabotaged betrayal, and rises against a welcomed hoard; this self-appointed maintenance man is in over his head. I was awakened in the dusty brush land north-northeast of spawn with sharp pain that covered the entire left side of my body. Alternating colors of green and red flashed before my eyes and it damn sure wasn’t Christmas. Back stepping off a cactus (thanking the Madmole for pain killers) I collected my thoughts and feathers on the walk back to spawn only to find the base damaged and in disarray. Not from outside opposing forces but from within, actually from below but also within, a brethren, trusted ally. Sadly, the guilty party proudly displayed his ignorance and insecurity after undermining a significant portion of spawn base causing a collapse, the motive… boredom. An impending hoard fueled the forge and my arm into crafting iron arrowheads. 150 feathers guided arrows to their mark. Blood spilled to the rising sun, our forces victorious, humanity goes on. Where does maintenance come into play you may ask? Well the laws of land claim prevented my pothole repair east of spawn. The hotel collapse, that’s beyond my knowhow and pay rate. So I cleared rotting bodies, sharpened spikes, and patched random holes until Wanderlust set in. Have you ever walked the land bridge across the southern sea?
