  1. Quiet Zombies, misc. PVE2

    A solution to fixing this audio glitch would be to restart the server and I will do that soon. Also since raising the difficulty has been previously discussed about in the past like you mentioned, and since most players seem to be more established, we will raise the difficulty up to the next level on pve 2.

  3. PVE2 Server Rules Banner

    I have updated the rules for the in-game chat for both servers that can be accessed with the "/rules" command. These rules will now match our current in-depth list of rules for both of our servers at http://www.redhatgamers.com/topic/10-server-rules/. There currently aren't any rules for bases that are not land claimed. However our rules state that destroying of other players properties is not allowed and Raiding is not allowed but you must be the first person to set down a land claim to own a location. Since bases can be land claimed fairly easy, we most likely won't have any rules for non-land claimed bases. Also having such a rule for non-land claimed bases would most likely result in abuse happening more often from other players destroying bases and looting stuff that would appear as unclaimed. Land Claimed Blocks can be bought for 50 zcoins on pve 2 in the shop with "/buy 33701" command and land claim blocks will make your base invincible from other players as long as you are active by logging in once every 8 days. Also recently, we have removed the grieving rule, since grieving can be misinterpreted and players may have their own version or idea of its meaning. We are looking to have a more clearer meaning for the term, such as "harassing other players is not allowed", for example. We will add something similar to this for our rules soon. Also stores are currently not allowed to be land claimed and those locations / players should be reported. Best Regards.

    I will restart the server for you, to see if that will fix it. Besides, it needs to be restarted anyways.
  7. The map is being rendered again to help prevent server from randomly disconnecting players on that server and it should be finished soon.
  8. The second server had also been wiped many times this past month due to bugs that would result in freezing the server and the server was basically unplayable after that. We tried to fix it but there wasn't much that we could have done about this due to coding errors in this early access game. Alpha 14 has been a rough version, with quite a few bugs and problems.   9. Your welcome, also we relaunched the other server as like a courtesy to our players until this problem gets fixed, so your welcome to play on either server. We also most likely wont wipe the world for PVE 1 during the next release so you should be able to pick up right where you left off.
  10. I changed the periodic world saves from every 5 minutes to every 1 minute to help fix this. This happens when the server hits the memory limit set by gameservers.com and basically it shutdowns and restarts the server on its own when it hits that set limit to prevent damage to their servers hardware. Since this game is early access and is still being created, this game isn't very optimized yet and leaks memory, causing lag for servers. Memory leaks are a failure in a program to release discarded memory, causing impaired performance or failure. However the second server doesn't have any problems with memory limits since the other company, bluefangsolutions.com that hosts PVE 2 currently doesn't have limits set for their servers. The next major release most likely will be more improved upon as well as be more optimized and I believe it will be released next month but I honestly don't know when.

Today when I was monitoring the chat to help out players and admin the server, a player with the username of "greenface", had recently said in the chat "everyone should name the towns they settle in for fun". I thought that would be an excellent idea to allow players to name towns or locations and have the names appear on the map as well as in the chat. We have previously done this by naming the central city so it will be similar to that. We would officially mark the name of the town or location on the map with their chosen name. Then when a player entered that town or location, a welcome message would appear in the chat via a pm. To keep things fair for all players, we have came up with a set of rules for naming and renaming towns and locations. Rules for submitting names for towns and locations are as follows: You must remain as an active player, with active land claim blocks and login at least once every 8 days. Inappropriate and offensive names are not allowed. Only one word names are allowed. Naming locations are on a first come, first serve bases. Renaming another players previously named location or town is not allowed as long as that player is still active and following these rules. This is only available for our sever called "Red Hat Gamers - PVE". To submit a name for a location or town, reply to this post with your coordinates of the location as well as the name that you would like to submit. Rules last updated 5/29/2016.

We recently renewed and relaunched our old server with our other provider to be able to have a more stable and more reliable server again, like we have had since when it was first launched back in January. We will keep both servers up and running and they both will have most of the same settings and game play. Now you can play on both servers if you would like to and we will do our best to prevent PVE 1 from disconnecting players but there is no guarantee. The next release of the game may have fixed the random disconnects for servers but until then there is very little that we can do about it. This relaunched server is called "Red Hat Gamers - PVE 2", and it is a more stable server.
  13. I checked out the settings and china and japan are still banned from our servers since most players from those locations are hackers. These other players are from Chile instead, with Chinese looking usernames so we will look into this further. As far as BellamyHalsey's base goes at 1257 East 27 North, it may have been caused by griefing or by zombies hitting landmines but since there is limited info and no land claim blocks that were placed to prevent this from happening, there isn't much that we can do about this. The server still has the same banned player list file as before with our pve 2 server and there are currently 63 active steam id bans still and those are not ip bans, just to clarify.These are bans that are located on the server and most likely wont be found on envul.com since we delete our server managers player data when we are forced to wipe a world due to bugs, etc. since player data cannot be transferred from world to world. We have tried this in the past and it simply does not work. The ip and port for that second server is still the same as before that is at, ip: 67.215.243.106, port: 23147.   17. I am estimating about 30 more minutes or so until it should be ready to play on again since its about 75% done, also if you visit the map you will see how much has been rendered and how much farther it will need to go to render the entire map.
  18. It freezes and locks up the server during this process since it uses most of the server resources and it usually takes about an hour or two to finish. Also we are not going to wipe this world during the next release so hopefully doing this now will help make the server be more stable and prevent random disconnects due to memory leak problems until the Fun Pimps fix that bug for servers. Right now its more than half way finished rendering and it should take an hour or less to finish.
  19. We do this occasionally to make the server have a smoother game play with less disconnects and less lag, since it saves the map to a file on the server for faster load times.

  22. Yeah this early access game has quite a few bugs and problems still since it is still being developed. We hope to see you again sometime in the future when this game is more stable. Also since this game is only at alpha 14, it has been very rough on us during this past month, hopefully this game will be more stable with the next release. Best regards.

  24. Land Claim Blocks

    That must have been a bug with the land claim blocks, but I have recently tested it and it does work now with the recent server restart and we have also raised the settings to 30 blocks by 30 blocks of land claim protection.

Our game server provider has recently raised the memory limit usage on their server to 50% higher than what it was before and this should have fixed the random disconnects and restarts and the server should be more stable now. If the server does ever randomly go offline and disconnects everyone please let us know by replying to this post. Also please don't post about our daily server restart at 5 am est. Also when you post, please let us know how many players was on at the time, if anyone was using an auger or using explosives at the time of the crash and anything else that you may want to add to your post. That way we can be able to optimize and fine tune game-play on our server to help prevent these problems from happening again. Thank you for helping us make a better server.
