  1. Server is back online.
  2. Recently the server had crashed again due to a known memory leak with 7 Days To Die and a simple restart was needed to fix this. Furthermore, if anybody is curious to know more about this memory leak problem, then here are some chat logs from a discussion I had with a gameservers.com representative when our server kept crashing. I am also currently in the process of setting up something on our new dedicated server to help prevent this from happening again. Also you may be able to learn more about this at 7daystodie.com. Posted 05/07/16 5:36am - Jake Are you sure that no changes or additions have been made to the server prior to the start of the crashes? I am currently seeing a number of crashing instances as a result of a memory limit enforced on the server. The 7daystodie server software has a history of memory leaks that would cause the instance to utilize all of the available memory on the machine. We have enforced a memory limit for the 7daystodie subscriptions to avoid such incidents. With indication that this is occurring for your subscription there may be conflicts or events in the server that are causing an abnormally high memory load, or triggering a memory leak. Posted 05/24/16 1:18pm - Zachary Hello, The issue at this time is due to a memory leak in the Unity game engine, used to make 7 days to die. We have increased the memory limit on your subscription by 50%, however, we will not be able to increase this further. Crashes will still occur when this limit is reached, and there is no way around this unfortunately. The Unity engine development team will need to address the memory leak issue in order to permanently resolve this problem. Thanks,
  3. Zgate travel

This seems to be a somewhat of a common issue with our 3rd party server manager program at envul.com. I have found a few similar problems that have occurred for others at https://envul.com/forums/cloud-based-server-manager/bug-reports/service-4647-some-players-unable-to-use-command/, and at https://envul.com/forums/cloud-based-server-manager/bug-reports/commands-does-not-work-for-some-players/. Deleting player stats solution on envul.com wont fix it since that was recently done when we had started over fresh for alpha 15. Therefore, I just recently tried the un-ban solution several times in an attempt to see if that fixes it. However I will continue to look for a solution to fix this if that doesn't work. If you would like to, you could try changing your steam username temporarily, to something different to see if that will fix it. Best Regards.
  4. We have currently generated $84.93 ( after paypal fees ) of the $160 goal, to put towards a new SSD Drive. Thank you very much for all the generosity to those that had donated, this will help to grow our community faster by having more of a lag free experience. If anybody else would like to help us reach the rest of this goal of $75.07, please make a small donation today. Donations are always appreciated but never required. Best Regards and thank you for choosing us for your game server entertainment needs.
  5. You can search for it in the search box, or you can connect to it directly at ip: 24.49.167.74 port: 26900.
  6. Today the server had crashed due to a known memory leak with the unity 3d game engine that 7 days to die is being developed on. I'm not sure if this has been fixed or not but this had resulted in a forced server restart and was unable to save the world at that time due to this bug (if it did save, it would most likely have also saved the bug). This game is early access and is still under development so bugs, glitches and wipes are just the nature of the beast. If this ever happens and someones base that they have been working on for such a long time has some sort of problem like with stability, let an admin know or post in the forums. An admin or I, will rebuild or give to you what was lost due to bugs that have occurred, such as buildings collapsing or items disappearing, etc. Best regards and thank you for choosing us for all your zombie killing needs.
  7. I totally understand and I'm sorry this had happened to you on our server. Also I would like to build your wall that was destroyed during this incident the next time you are online. Let me know when you are available.
  8. I am currently rendering the map on the new server to help speed up the loading times for the server. This shouldn't take very long to complete and as usual I will post when it has finished. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused. Best Regards.
  9. Rendering Map

That map has finished rendering and the server is now back online. Best regards.
  10. I teleported to 500k+ north out of curiosity and I found these gems, everything was tearing apart and it became very tough to move around.
  11. A player most likely had recently started to blow up building and structures for fun which resulted in the server locking up. This resulted in players not being able to connect to the server since it had froze up so TNT + Dynamite will be temporarily banned until further notice. Server needed to be restarted to fix. Best regards.
  12. About Server Settings

The settings are 31 blocks by 31 blocks, in a square radius and will protect you all the way up into the sky and all the way down to bedrock. This will make your base invincible and this will protect against bears but not against zombies. To protect your base against zombies you will need to upgrade your walls to iron or steel for better defenses. Adding spikes to a kill pit or trench also helps out a lot with defenses too.
  13. No problem, doing this is basically my hobby for now...
  14. The world contains about 8.2 GB of data and has about 15,000 individual files if anybody is curious to know. The new server is now online at a new ip address and can be found in the server list.
  15. Assuming minibikes worked flawlessly with zero bugs, what would your preferred method of travel be? Please take our poll questionnaire.
  16. Would you rather play on a rented server that is slow but available 24/7 or a dedicated server that occasionally disconnects from the internet a few times a day?
  17. To /shop or not to /shop

I was setting up the /gimme command and it appears that our server manager program over at Envul.com, has removed the bears option from their gimme list. That seemed to be a popular feature, having a bear randomly spawn next you. Having that said, should we still have a /gimme command?
  18. Why the server get smaller?

I'm currently in the process of switching over to a dedicated hosting solution, hopefully I will be able to do so this week sometime. The current hosting cap is 40 slots but it almost becomes unplayable after 16 players or so. This current host is also shared which is another cause of lag due to having several other game servers being hosted on the same computer as our game server. Donations are always appreciated but never required.
  19. Priority Access

We used to have land claim blocks available for purchase by using the /shop command and we may add that again for our server to help prevent this from happening again. Best Regards.
  20. Occasionally we will create a poll questionnaire, asking for user feedback to help improve upon our game server community. By taking these polls and voting on various questions can drastically change how we run our community, one way or another. Please visit our user feedback forum today for our game servers and let us know your thoughts. We value your feedback.
  21. Why the server get smaller?

large buildings and structures only creates lag for that area but not for other players at different locations on the map. Restricting gameplay isn't something we want to do and that wouldn't be effective since players are going to do what they want to anyways.
  22. Priority Access

It's for 30 days, however it only works when the server manager is online. How priority access works is when a player with that connects to the server, it will kick out the last connected player so that you can join. However since there are problems I will just let you have additional time to enjoy your priority access for those times when it's working.
  23. Trader Locations

It's the default settings that The Funs Pimps have set for the traders. Having that said, it could have created some sort of bug and isn't functioning as it should.
  24. Trader Locations

They have store hours and close sometime before and after night time. When they close their shop they will teleport you out and away from their place. This is most likely why you are being teleported out.
